BIOGRAPHY

With over decade of experience as a Freelance Artist based in San Francisco, this Southern Californian is proud to still be learning as a student of digital creativity, traditional illustration & print-making during his adventures as a pen-for-hire along the Golden Coast.
While ink on paper will always be his first love, Xander has a passion for finding different ways of combining creative techniques. An accomplished creative, and always to eager to try new mediums, Xander has been creating visuals for (and sometimes facilitates the production of) bottle labels, tattoo designs, online brand logos, band merchandise, social media promos, product packaging, educational print materials, custom banners & flags, hand-made store signage, web-comics & large painted portraits for a myriad of clients.
He graduated with a BA in Visual Arts from San Francisco State University in 2009.

Taking his passion for pirates & vexillology entirely too far, Xander ran a successful Kickstarter
campaign in Summer of 2014 to open a screen-printing business, Barbaric Banners,
producing hand-made nerdy pirate flags. They can be found online here.
From 2010-2015, he illustrated two weekly web-comics: 6th Circle with comedian, Jackson McBrayer, and The Historically* Accurate Adventures of Jack & Voytek with writer, Sam Hock.

Xander's artwork has been printed in The San Francisco Chronicle & published in
Halo: Evolutions Anthology Vol. I by Tor Books. His illustrations are on tour with the pirate-metal band, The Dread Crew of Oddwood, and at NASA: A Human Adventure Exhibit at the Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
Xander lives in the fog of San Francisco, CA with his lovely wife, Jessamy.
They are currently being stalked by their miniature house-panthers, Tostig & Freeway.
